Pearisburg - Giles County, Virginia

Giles County, Virginia rests quietly in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia.  With an area of about 363 square miles and a population of around 16,000, Giles County offers a relaxed small-town atmosphere for it's residents.   Giles County contains 92.4 square miles of Jefferson National Forest perfect for hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and bird watching.   The historic Glen Alton property, which is located 15 miles West of the Town of Pearisburg in the New River Valley Ranger District of the Jefferson National Forest.

Pearisburg is located at the approximate geographic center of Giles County, Virginia. It is located on a plateau above the New River at the intersection of US Route 460 and State Route 100. Pearisburg is the County Seat of Giles County.

Mountain Lake Resort is located 30 minutes away.
